Happy Independence Day! I just wanted to pop in quick to talk about something that I have been LOVING so far this month! A few weeks ago I ordered a six-month Powersheets intentional goal planner… and it’s been wonderful!
I have been eyeing these up since last November or December and toyed with the idea of getting one for 2017, but I let my fear of buying something I wouldn’t use get the best of me. So then when they went on sale a month or so ago, I swooped one up and have enjoyed setting intentional goals for the last half of 2017!
The planner has quite a few pages of setup to fill out before you start the six months… pages to dig into your fears, what’s holding you back, the big picture of your life, challenges you’re facing, lessons you’re learning, things you are saying yes and no to, and more! So after spending quite a few hours going through the set-up, I got to choosing goals for the next six months!
After coming up with your goals, you then come up with action steps to achieve each goal. Then you set monthly, weekly, and daily goals for the current month.
To give you an idea, here are some of my goals:
- inspire and equip people to cultivate contentment and joy in their homes
- commune with God daily
- foster vacation vibes all the time
- explore two new local spots
- purge and organize our shed
- study Isaiah 1–11
- move my body 3x/week
- read for fun
- send out a weekly newsletter
- drink 64 oz water
- read the Word
I’ve loved getting to check off daily (and even weekly) goals so far, and am excited to see progress on my monthly goals! I have found that I am very driven by lists and getting to check things off, so this is a perfect system for me!
Since Powersheets are currently sold out, if this kind of system sounds like something you’d like to implement in your life, you could easily make your own lists. Otherwise, they should be stocking more year and six-month planners this Fall!
Happy goal setting! I’d love to hear if you’ve used Powersheets or some other form of goal setting! What are some of your best goal-setting tips and tricks?
